I would like to simulate a Fermionic chain interacts with a single (soft) Bosonic site. I guess I can define a SiteSet to encode the degree of freedom and the local operators. My question is, if I use this SiteSet in AutoMPO, will AutoMPO generate the correct MPO, or is there any problem I should notice?

One thing I can imagine is that I may need to define the Jordan-Wigner operator "F" as identity operator for the Bosonic site. Is it right?

Any comment on the mixing basis will be appreciated!

Hi Chia-min, good question. Yes as long as you define an “F” operator for both types of sites it will work. Though please test on some small systems where you have independent or exact results, or by computing matrix elements of your Hamiltonian between various product state MPS.

Miles

Formatting Tips:
  • To format code, indent by four spaces
  • To format inline LaTeX, surround it by @@ on both sides
  • To format LaTeX on its own line, surround it by $$ above and below
  • For LaTeX, it may be necessary to backslash-escape underscore characters to obtain proper formatting. So for example writing \sum\_i to represent a sum over i.
